MEET QUEEN ELIZABETH 2's HOTEL MANAGER
~ JACQUELINE HODGSON ~

Jacqueline Hodgson is presently the Queen Elizabeth 2's Hotel Manager, and
she is scheduled to transfer to the Queen Mary 2, assuming the same role. She
is the first female to hold this position at Cunard, a company whose origins
date back to 1840.

Hodgson has been at sea with Cunard for 25 years working aboard the Cunard
Princess, Cunard Countess, Cunard Dynasty, Sea Goddess I and Sea Goddess II.
She began her sea career on the QE2 where she worked in the Purser's Office
and in most hotel positions over a period of sixteen years.

When she decided to aim for top, she reverted to being a cabin stewardess and
rising to Head Housekeeper in order to gain experience dealing directly with
passengers. Later she became Chief Purser. For the last two years, she was
Hotel Manger aboard the Caronia.

She met her husband, formerly a navigational officer, aboard the QE2, and
they have a home at the edge of the New Forest near Southampton.

With 880 hotel staff members, she says every day brings new challenges and
will put her in good stead when she transfers to the Queen Mary 2.

Interview conducted by Theodore W. Scull aboard the QE2 on May 9, 2003.
