The following series of photographs were taken in New York Harbor beginning in the 1960's and into the 1980's.
Several well known passenger liners of that era are included as well as one cargo ship and an unusual maritime visitor.


October 1960 - Soviet liner BALTIKA berthed in the East River near 23rd Street.
She Carried Nikita Khruschev to UN General Assembly session.


November 1967 - "End of an era", CONCORDIA STAR docked at Pier 1 Brooklyn.


December 1965 - SS RAFFAELLO Leaving New York for Italy
with the photographer's mother aboard.


April 1966 - SS MICHELANGELO Sightseers surveying damage to the superstructure,
undergoing temporary repairs, after a mid-ocean rogue wave killed 2 passengers and 1 crew member.


December 1964 - MS OSLOFJORD at her New York berth.
